Reflection
As a broad reflection I would say I really enjoyed this class. Although I found the outlines for projects could be a little vague at times, I appreciated the freedom it gave me to just create. None of the materials I used were out of my comfort zone so I wouldn't say that aspect of the class was very challenging, I loved painting with acrylics and collaging the pieces onto other pieces. Maybe I could have made more of an effort there to push myself out of my box, but overall though I was relatively happy with my works for the class. The most trouble the materials gave me was that my paper kept warping, so I just got thicker paper meant for paint. The biggest thing I got from the class was learning how to better use themes in my work and making sure my themes are ones that an audience can read as well. I think the cold reads really helped with that as it gave others the opportunity to tell you what they thought of my work without me having to explain everything. I learned a lot and I'll be sure to take what I've learned from the course into future courses.
