Reflection Statement

These three sculptures, Circle of Dreams, Space Ray, and Garden of Braids, all represent the theme of innocence. Circle of Dreams has a spacious and almost cozy look to it, well Space Ray looks almost toy-ish and playful, and to finish Garden of Braids has a almost childish and colorful feel to it. Well making the sculptures, I wanted them all to feel connected in some way so they felt more like a cohesive theme and less so a group of random ideas. For this purpose, they all have a very similar color palette, that being the purple and the pink. All sculptures though had one color to make them at least a little bit their own. Circle of Dreams had the beige of the string, Space Ray had the orange instead of the pink, and Garden of Braids had the yellowish color of the masking tape. I found the braids of masking tape to be quite time consuming, but overall I am happy they turned out.
